As many of you already know, Texas Surveyors Week is coming up the week of March 20-26. TSPS Chapter 19 is once again teaming up with Texas State Technical College (TSTC), Harlingen, to participate in Surveyor Awareness Day. This will take place on Wednesday, March 23rd at the TSTC Campus. This is just a way of getting the word out about our profession. We plan on setting up a booth/table on campus where we will be meeting and greeting students, faculty, and staff. We are planning on also displaying several instruments that are used in our everyday work. Also, we will be having activities in the form of obstacle courses and giving away prizes and goodies.
We are asking for anyone that would be interested to get involved. We would love to have our surveyors take an hour or two and come by and shake some hands, meet some students, and talk about our profession.
