UPDATE: TX Prohibited Technologies

Dear Members,

Governor Abbott has announced an update to Texas’ Prohibited Technologies List, adding additional hardware, software, and AI technologies affiliated with the People’s Republic of China (PRC) and the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). The update was made in coordination with Texas Cyber Command and expands restrictions to further protect state systems and sensitive information.

Texas Cyber Command has been designated as the lead agency to identify and assess technologies that may pose cybersecurity risks to the state.
