Faithful companionship, friendship, support, kindness, and an intelligence unrivaled by many I know… that was Garey. I will miss his lighthearted laughter and melodious voice. I don’t know how many times I have called him to ask his opinion about some surveying issue (MOST of the time I agreed with him). I am going to miss his input. Abraham Lincoln said “In the end, it’s not the years in your life that count. It’s the life in your years.” Garey lived a wonderful life and even though he only stayed for a moment in time, his footsteps are ones that we will follow eternally. Rest in Peace, Garey.

I am so saddened to hear this news. I am not where I am today without his assistance and my uncle John Cordle. Such a respected man in our profession. He exemplified what we should be as surveyors. Prayers out to his family and all that were associated with Gary.
