In Memoriam - John Bryant Fincher

John passed away on January 5, 2020 in Tyler, TX.

He was born on November 22, 1943 in Canton to Ray and Mary Fincher.

John was a registered land surveyor. He was also an artist, poet, and author. John designed the iconic First Monday statue and he has art commissioned at the Texas Capital building.

He is preceded in death by his parents; grandchild, Jonathan Ray Fincher; great grandchild, Grant Shoemake; and brother, Charles Ray Fincher.

John is survived by his wife, Sue Fincher of Canton; daughter, Susie and Rick Cerda of Canton; son, Bryant Keith and Missy Fincher of Canton; son, John Todd Fincher R.P.L.S. and wife Wendy of Canton; 19 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren; and Phillip Norrell.

Visitation will be held at Eubank Funeral Home in Canton on Friday January 10, 2020 from 6pm to 8pm.

His book "Pardners" is a great read, specially if you ever had a great dog that followed you everywhere. Also his art work was right along his experience as an land surveyor. John F Pierce
