My condolences and prayers to Joanne and the Nall family. John was a mentor and friend since I met him at TCJC in a class that he was teaching. John was a fount of knowledge that he didn't mind sharing. He could also teach a lesson or two in crustiness. His service and dedication to the surveying profession will be missed. Frank Shelton

John was a good friend and a mentor to me. I first met John while attending Tarrant County Junior College back in the 1990's. He was one of my instructors while studying to obtain my Associate in Arts and Sciences in Surveying Technology. I worked with John on occasions. I could always call John when faced with a difficult boundary solution to seek his advice - which he always freely gave to me. If you ever met John, he was an unforgettable character. I miss my friend greatly. Larry Probeck, RPLS #5187
