In Memoriam - Thomas Haberer

 Thomas C. Haberer, RPLS #4350, age 73 of San Antonio, Texas, left to be with our Lord on Friday, July 16, 2021.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Ann Marie Haberer and his brother, William. He is survived by his daughter, Shannon Marie Haberer; his brother, Michael Haberer; his sisters, Mary Stoklasa, Margaret “Peggy” Brooks and Joan Troutman; his nieces, nephew and cousins.
Tom graduated from Holy Cross High School in 1966. He spent 4 years in the U.S. Navy and at separation he was an Electronics Technician 3rd Class. He made 3 tours at Vietnam and later joined the Army National Guard where he resigned as Sgt. First Class. During his service in the Guard, he received the Army Achievement Medal and the Texas Medal of Merit. He was a Registered Professional Land Surveyor and owner of Northstar Land Surveying. He comes from a family of land surveyors: Grandfather, Father, Uncles, and Brother.
Tom liked Big Bend National Park, western Texas, Route 66, hiking, hunting and golf.
The Funeral Mass will begin at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, August 5, 2021 at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church, 1710 Clower. Interment with Military Honors will begin at 9:15 A.M. at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Road.
