Comment: Rule 138.61(c) contains a typographical error: "engineer' should be "surveyor" Comment: While adding the PLS to the Texas exam routine is a good move, but it should not replace the Texas Specific exam currently in place. It has taken surveyors a great deal of effort and research to make this exam worthy of testing the applicants' knowledge of the Rules and procedures for performing professional surveys in Texas. Comment: I agree that a Registered Surveyor must be present in any branch or project office to "direct and supervise" all professional surveying activities. "On the ground" supervision is required elsewhere within the rules and not requiring the presence of an RPLS in branch offices would violate the basic value of the Rules of Practice and good, ethical conduct. Thank you for your service and consideration of the comments from surveyors regarding our profession. Wm. Coleman, RPLS 4001
