Donald Charles Bradford, RPLS #4728 Went to be with the lord April 27th, 2020. He was 66 years old and lost his battle with cancer.

Donald Charles Bradford, 66, of Richmond, Texas passed away on April 27, 2020 peacefully at his home after fighting a short yet courageous battle with cancer. He was born on June 8, 1953 in Richmond, Texas to the late O.C. Eldon Bradford and Irene Ann (Grigar) Bradford. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed boating, fishing, hunting and working on various projects around his property in the village of Fairchilds.

His hobbies included adding to his ever growing gun & knife collection, barbecuing, and enjoying evening rides to watch the sunset on his Polaris with a refreshing beer with his neighbors and his dog Bella.

Donald was very well known entrepreneur in the community for his life long work as a Registered Professional Land Surveyor at his company Bradford Surveying Co. Inc. His meticulous measurements, reliability, and excellence in his craft will be missed by many.

Donald’s greatest accomplishments include being father to his only daughter, Shadley and son in law, Carey as well as “Papa” to his granddaughters, Sykora and Gemma. Although they reside in San Diego, Donald visited for birthdays and special occasions. When Shadley and family visited him, he loved taking his beloved granddaughters on tractor rides and watching them run around his property, including giving them their first “driving lesson.”

Donald was a loving, patient, and funny man. He didn’t have to say a lot to be heard. Even up until his last week he was making his family smile and laugh with his wit and charm.

This loving father, “Papa,” brother, uncle and friend will truly be missed.

Survivors include his daughter, Shadley Bradford Pastor and her husband, Carey and their daughters , Sykora and Gemma; siblings, Joyce Tullos and her husband, Carl, Betty Morgan and her husband, Denny, and Jeffrey Bradford and his wife, Ronda; Shadley’s mother, Becky (Bohacek) Bradford; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
