New State Plane Coordinate System: Get Educated, Get Involved.

TSPS has created a 2022 Datum Forum for the surveying community to ask questions and provide input on the New State Plane Coordinate System. Forums are located under the Education tab on the TSPS website.

In addition, an article written by Shawn Billings, RPLS was published in the September issue of The Texas Surveyor. The article begins on page 12 and provides good information on the three possible approaches NGS will be seeking from stakeholders of each state.

NGS Webinars are available that address the 2022 Datum and other changes.

Let your voice be heard and participate in 2022 Datum Forum discussion.

Regardless of the Latitude/Longitude or coordinate value, either state plane or assumed, those two found property corners, 1/4" inch apart, each with a different cap identifying the Surveyor, will still be in the same place tomorrow as they were when set. Tom Watkins
