Recently, TSPS Chapter 20 - Brazos Valley held their meeting with special guest speaker Lance Kinney, P.E., who discussed the status of the Sunset Review and what steps the TBPE is currently taking to prepare for the merged Texas Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors. Mr. Kinney spoke about the current role of the TBPE, what information has been presented and passed from the merger bill, and the means and methods the TBPE has taken through the NCEES examination system, among other discussion items. Throughout the presentation, Mr. Kinney continued to reassure the Chapter members that, although the Engineering and Land Surveying Boards are merging, this will simply mean that there will be two separate professions that share the same building.
