The participants in this class will receive instruction in the Col Styles method of how to determine a gradient boundary, and then will move to the banks of the Canadian River to put their classroom instruction to use in locating and proving up a “key bank”.

The participants in this class will benefit from Stan Piper’s many years of experience as he explains his methods of preparing for a survey setting up his research and field sketches, and then in the field portion learning how to recover and identify original monuments.
The participants in this class will follow Michel Newton as he shares his experiences in following the pioneer surveyors, including their methodology and actual use of antique equipment during the field portion of the class.
