Gradient Boundary		4/17/2020	4/17/2020	8:00 AM	5:00 PM	4/17/2020 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Presenter: Robby Christopher and Maxey Sheppard Robby Christopher will guide students through the classroom portion of the gradient boundary focusing on history and field procedures. Then, Maxey Sheppard will take the students to the banks of the Canadian River where the class will have a look at a qualifying bank and get hands-on experience marking the line between state and private ownership.
Research and Recovery		4/17/2020	4/17/2020	8:00 AM	5:00 PM	4/17/2020 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Presenter: Stan Piper and J.D. Davis The participants in this class will benefit from Stan and JD’s many years of experience as they explain methods of preparing for a survey setting up research and field sketches, and then in the field portion learning how to recover and identify original monuments.
West Texas Retracement		4/17/2020	4/17/2020	8:00 AM	5:00 PM	4/17/2020 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Presenter: Maxey Shepphard The whole group of instructors and their assistants will take part in leading this course, where participants will take up a compass and chain, and using a set of handwritten field notes, strike out across the prairie in search of old boundary corners. Antique survey equipment will be supplied. We hope this will be a good way for both young and old surveyors to share ideas and methods of working without modern technology.
