The New 2021 ALTA/NSPS Land Title Survey Standards by Gary Kent, PS This 4 hour class will explain the purpose for and application of ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys, outline the process of, and considerations accounted for, in revising the 2016 ALTA/NSPS Standards, identify the modifications to the 2016 standards resulting in the 2021 standards, and explain the necessary elements involved in the collection of field data and preparation of the plat/map of an ALTA/NSPS Land Title Survey Register Here Gary Kent, PS Gary Kent is in his 38th year as a professional surveyor with Schneider Geomatics in Indianapolis, having transitioned to part-time in 2020. He is also manager and owner of Meridian Land Consulting, LLC through which he provides consulting and expert witness services, and training to a wide variety of clients. He has been chair of the joint ALTA/NSPS committee on the ALTA/NSPS Standards since 1995 and is the liaison to NSPS from the American Land Title Association. Gary is a past-president of both ACSM and the Indiana Society of Professional Land Surveyors, and for seven years he taught boundary law, legal descriptions, property surveying and land survey systems for Purdue University in Indianapolis. Gary has served on the Indiana State Board of Registration for Professional Surveyors since 2004 and was recently reappointed by Governor Holcomb. He is frequently sought as an expert witness in cases involving boundaries, easements and land surveying practice. Gary has a BS degree in land Surveying from Purdue University and is licensed as a Professional Surveyor in Indiana and Michigan.
