13th Annual Hook, Line and Surveyor Fishing Tournament

Proceeds benefiting the TSPS Chapter 11 - Alamo and TSPS Chapter 12 - Coastal Bend scholarship funds. 1st, 2nd, 5th and 8th Place Prizes per boat per division for heaviest stringer. Additional prizes for: Live Fish Conservation Bonus, Artificial Only and Youth/Junior Angler.

TOURNAMENT WEIGH-IN, DINNER & CASH BAR TO BE HELD ON SATURDAY, JULY 21st AT:

Dinner will be at 5:30 pm with awards to follow.

Mixer and Team Captains’ meeting to be held Friday, July 20th, at Redfish Bay & Boathouse. A BBQ dinner will be provided at 6:00 pm, cash bar available.

This is an amateur fishing tournament open to anyone with guided and unguided divisions. Entry fee is $350 per team (up to 4 anglers per team) postmarked by June 22, 2018. Late entry (after June 22nd) is $400 per team and teams will not receive below mentioned items. For the guided division, the guide will not be considered an angler. All individuals must be registered in the tournament and entry fee paid in order to participate. A current Texas fishing license and salt-water stamp will be required. Entry fee includes 4 Friday & Saturday Dinner tickets, 4 koozies, 4 caps and 4 shirts.

TOURNAMENT RULES

  1. Open to anyone wishing to participate.
  2. Up to 4 amateur anglers per team. Only those registered in the tournament can be on a participating team.
  3. Registrants may fish in any inshore public water accessible by boat. “Inshore” for this tournament is defined as the navigable, tide consumable coastal waters, bays, rivers, and
    wetlands, extending to the inside of the passes to The Gulf of Mexico.
  4. A boat is not needed to participate. Wade fishing and Kayak fishing are allowed.
  5. Fishing will begin no earlier than civil twilight (6:21am CST) on Saturday, July 21, 2018.
  6. Eligible fish are 1 Redfish (20”-28”), 2 Trout (15” – 25”) and 1 Flounder (14”- ?)
  7. No Undersize or Oversized fish of any type will be allowed in this tournament.
  8. Stringer Prizes for guided and unguided divisions.
  9. Fish entered into “Cash Side Pot” MAY NOT be part of team stringer.
  10. Participation for the Artificial Only Prize must be the entire team fishing artificial bait.
  11. Prizes for largest eligible fish will be awarded to one Youth Angler (12 & under) and one Junior Angler (13 to 17). Fish MAY NOT be part of team stringer. Youth and/or Junior Angler counts
    toward team member.
  12. Angler may be assisted by in casting, baiting hooks and netting. Each angler must hook and bring fish to net unassisted.
  13. Only one fishing rod may be used at a time per angler. A cast must be fully retrieved before an angler may pick up another rod.
  14. Weigh-in is no earlier than 4:00pm, and you must be in the sight of the Weigh Master before 5:00pm at Redfish Bay Boathouse. ABSOLUTELY NO EXCEPTIONS
  15. Only 1 stringer per team.
  16. To be eligible for the conservation bonus, each fish in stringer must be live when weighed in. Bonus will be awarded in order of weigh-in time. Live fish will be given priority at weigh-in.
  17. Weight, then length will determine if there is a tie. If still tied, prize(s) will be split between teams.
  18. Decisions of the Weigh Master are final.
  19. BRING ONLY FISH TO BE WEIGHED IN TO WEIGH IN STATION. CATEGORIES OF FISH, LARGEST STRINGER, HEAVIEST FISH ETC. WILL BE DECIDED PRIOR TO ARRIVING
    AT THE WEIGH IN STATION. NO FISH WILL BE WEIGHED OR MEASURED AT THE WEIGH IN STATION TO DETERMINE WHICH WILL BE THE KEEPER OR KEEPERS.
  20. Official Tournament slant measurement board will be available
