Lisa Van Horn

Lisa Van Horn, owner of Van Horn & Van Horn Surveying, Green Bay, is the current president of The National Society of Professional Surveyors. In 2007, she was the Wisconsin Society of Land Surveyors'  first female president since its beginning in 1952. 

Van Horn graduated from Northeast Wisconsin Technical College and became a licensed professional land surveyor in 1997. She worked in the county surveyor's offices in Sheboygan, Brown and Oconto counties. 

In 2000, she started her own land-surveying business, Van Horn and Van Horn LLC, with her husband, Les, who is also a licensed professional land surveyor. The firm specializes in property surveys and vendor specific global positioning system (GPS) training, serving Northeast Wisconsin from their base in Green Bay. She has recently been appointed as the Shawano County surveyor.

Trisha Lund

Trish Lund is currently the Director of Operations-Houston for Encompass Services, LLC. and President-Elect of TSPS. She received her Associates of Arts & Sciences Degree in Land Surveying Technologies from San Antonio College Bachelor of Arts & Sciences Degree from Texas A&M Kingsville. She is currently the TSPS President Elect; Publications Committee Chairman; Membership Committee Co-Chair; Budget & Finance Committee Member; Governmental Affairs Committee Member; Course Developer & Presenter; Chapter 9 Director; Former Director, Former Chapter Activities Chairman; Former Chapter 11 President and Chapter Representative; Women in Transportation (WTS); International ROW Assoc. (IRWA); American Society of Highway Engineers (ASHE); Houston Live Stock Show & Rodeo Swine Committee Member; Now Word Covenant Church Circle of Sisters Member.


Trisha began her surveying career as a receptionist for Dan Snell at Maverick Land Surveying. With the rapid growth of the economy and market he took me under his wing and taught me how to do research, survey calculations and sent her to school. From there she quickly made her way to the field working my way to Party Chief and back to the office as a Survey Technician and continued her education an experience over the last 25 years and has held management positions since being registered in 2009. Working on projects primarily in the Transportation Sector across Texas, support for projects in Libya and Saudi Arabia. Trisha now lives in Houston since moving from San Antonio in 2017.

Julie McDonald

Ms. McDonald is an entrepreneur, a surveyor, an engineer, an avid reader and a beachgoer – whenever she gets the chance. As Managing Owner of Tidemark Land Services, she tends to stay busy building the business she is passionate about. Julie believes that education is the key to continued professional success and strives to continue her own education and helping others in this pursuit as well. With over 26 years of progressive surveying and engineering experience in North and South Carolina she is well positioned to do just that. She is a PE and a PLS in several states, holds an AAS in Business Administration, an AAS in Survey and Civil Engineering Technology, and a BSET in Civil Engineering Technology. She has worked on a multitude of projects for NCDOT, the City of Charlotte, Charlotte Water, and other surrounding municipalities, various utility/gas companies, construction firms and engineering firms. During her career, Ms. McDonald has built up a broad base of experience in civil engineering design, subsurface utility engineering, right-of-way and land surveying. Julie has served as the International Right of Way Association Surveying and Engineering Committee Chair and held all the leadership positions for her local Chapter.  Julie’s mission of continued education and professional growth is evident in her passion when you speak to her about the industry. Ultimately Julie believes that by empowering and helping students and professionals, to elevate their standards of practice within their profession, together, they can make the industry better.

Jeanette Ward

Jeanette Ward joined Texas Mutual in 1993 after earning her Bachelor of Arts degree in Government from the University of Texas at Austin. She has since climbed the Company’s ranks and has an accumulated 25 years of valuable experience, serving in a variety of roles ranging from strategic planning and budgeting to overseeing claim, safety and medical network operations.  As COO, Jeanette is responsible for policyholder services, underwriting, information technology, and marketing & customer engagement. Jeanette also gives her time and talent to several charitable organizations, including the American Heart Association, United Way, Early Matters and the Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation. She has been a featured speaker at numerous national industry events and was recently named a 2018 Business Insurance Woman to Watch by Business Insurance magazine which recognizes women leaders doing outstanding work in risk management and commercial insurance worldwide.
