Built for Professional Surveyors who build Texas

The land under every road, structure, and boundary line in Texas was measured by a professional surveyor. TSPS exists to support the people doing that work — with the education, advocacy, and professional community that keeps your career and your license protected.

"When employed full time, I never gave a second thought to renewing my TSPS membership. Now that I have transitioned to roles that pay substantially less, renewing my membership still does not give me pause. Over the years, a few hundred bucks a year and active participation have provided me with countless opportunities to earn free CEUs, as well as to grow my professional knowledge, network, and leadership skills. The benefits of TSPS membership are numerous and priceless. Where else do these opportunities exist on such a scale? How else would I have met and befriended top notch professionals, professionals who reinforce the inescapable truth of the gravity and durability of this work, inspiring me to leave a legacy that helps, not hinders those who follow. I cringe to think of the type of person and surveyor I would have been without the influence and freely shared knowledge from the many busy professionals who have donated countless hours for our benefit. I believe the cost of a few hundred bucks a year is a steal, considering what I have gained in growth and understanding. If you are asking if membership is worth the cost, consider asking if you have actively taken advantage of the benefits and engaged with contemporaries. Jump in; the water is fine; and most sharks don’t frequent this pool."
- Angela Weller, RPLS, TSPS Board of Director
