Associate/Surveyor in Training — Cost: $70.00; optional $50 to NSPS
Surveyor in Training: Any person holding a valid certificate as a Surveyor in Training under Section 15(e) of the current Professional Land Surveying Practices Act. Eligible to vote but not to hold any office in the State Society other than Director, or be President of a local chapter. Entitled to all publications received by registered members, including the TSPS Manual of Practice for Land Surveying in Texas.
Associate: Any graduate of a school of higher education recognized by the Board who expresses the intention of becoming a surveyor and who has not become certified as a Surveyor in Training, and any person who has been engaged in surveying for a minimum of four years or who has two years of surveying experience and has completed at least two years in a school of higher education recognized by the Board. Associate members must become registered members after eight years cumulative membership or be classified as affiliate members. Eligible to vote but not to hold any office in the State Society other than Director, or be President of a local chapter.
