About Us

The Texas Society of Professional Surveyors (TSPS), whose membership includes registered professional surveyors, surveyors-in-training, students, and associate members, is dedicated to educating and informing the public about the vital role surveyors play in our society.

TSPS members benefit from a strong competitive advantage and access to valuable professional resources. Opportunities for self-improvement are available through foundational and advanced training programs offered at regional seminars, the annual Spring Symposium, and the TSPS Convention & Tech Expo. TSPS certification establishes a recognized standard for evaluating prospective employees, while legislative advocacy and liaison efforts with the Texas Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors and the Texas General Land Office help protect and strengthen the profession.

Members also have access to group insurance programs, including life, health, hospitalization, dental, professional liability, and workers’ compensation coverage.

In addition, TSPS members receive a bi-monthly publication, The Texas Surveyor - a magazine written by surveyors for surveyors - covering current trends, industry developments, and issues impacting the profession.​
