Share |

The TSPS 2016 Symposium, held February 26-27 in Beaumont, exceeded projected attendee figures by a wide margin! The Symposium had 219 paid attendees this year for the two-day education event, along with 11 speakers and two TSPS staff members. Also on hand were 22 student volunteers from Texas State Technical College in Waco and Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi. The TAMUCC student group (see photo) - GISSO (Geographic Information Science Student Organization) - enjoyed a fun and profitable time at the Friday Night "Shine Games Challenge," winning a YETI cooler for their efforts in the many games and challenges held that night. Pictured with the cooler are (seated) TSPS Education Coordinator Brenda Null; and (standing, left to right) Anna Neumann, Yeoshua Cohen, Amanda Flores, Mitchell Grimm, Veronica Trevino, Daniel Martinez, Chris Reynolds, Will Capak, Lillie Guzman and Dean Malone.
