Study Groups for RPLS & SIT Exams
Share |

The RPLS and SIT exam process can be a minefield, but now candidates no longer have to cross it alone.

The RPLS/SIT Study Groups sub-committee at TSPS, chaired by Vasileios (Vas) Kalogirou, RPLS #6205, provides settings where paraprofessionals can be equipped to take the next step in their careers. The sub-committee organizes study groups in three metro regions – Dallas-Fort Worth, Houston and Austin.

For some help studying for the RPLS Exam or the SIT Fundamentals of Surveying Exam (NCEES), contact:

Vas Kalogirou  DFW Area

Jake Lupher – Houston Area

Greg Schmidt – Austin Area

Just reach out to the contact listed above in your area and let them know you would like to participate in a study group. They’ll take it from there.

The process for taking SIT exams underwent a significant change in 2014. Administration of the exam has moved from pencil and paper to computer-based testing (CBT). There are now four “testing windows” during which applicants can take the exam, according to the TBPLS website: January-February; April-May; July-August; and October-November.

Registration for the Fundamentals of Surveying Exam, however, is open anytime.
