Huey Preston Cox, RPLS #1745, 82, went to be with our Lord on Monday, May 22, 2017 at Scott & White Temple surrounded by his family.

He leaves behind his wife of 65 years, Mary Anne (King) Cox, his daughter Patti Prince and her husband Cap Prince; granddaughter Paige (Prince) Hoellen and her husband David Hoellen; grandson Patrick Preston Prince, and two great-grandchildren McKenna and Hank Hoellen.

He was born to Cade and Alma (Henderson) Cox in the community of Old Union, Texas.

On April 30, 1963, Huey received Honorable Discharge from the United States Army.  Huey worked his entire professional career as a loyal employee for Texas Power & Light, where he retired as the Surveying Supervisor in 1990.

Huey was devoted to his family. It was not uncommon for Huey to travel multiple days of the week to enjoy his family’s involvement in high school athletics.

He was passionate about watching his son-in-law coach and grandkids participate in basketball and football.

There will be a private family celebration.

In lieu of flowers the family is asking that donations be made to Salado Volunteer Fire Department, PO Box 503, Salado TX  76571.
