The SE Corner of New Mexico Restoration Project has been completed, according to Craig Alderman. The location is about 10 miles north of Kermit along the ROW of FM 1218.

The joint project between TSPS and the Llano Estacado Chapter of NMPS (New Mexico Professional Surveyors) included work to restore the existing concrete monument and to add a new brass cap. A formal dedication was held March 14, and a cover plate was installed earlier that day. New caliche was spread around the site on Friday, March 27.

The existing geocaching canister on site was replaced, and a new Geocacher comment was already received March 22, Alderman said. Watch for full article on the project and dedication ceremony in the May issue of The Texas Surveyor.
