Now in addition to a 1mil Errors and Omissions policy, they are requiring a Cyberrisk Insurance policy. This policy would protect AT&T if one of their vendors or contractors broke into their network and misappropriated data. They do understand that there is not an exposure to this risk for most of their surveyors but to date, they have not been willing to waive this requirement.

A check of the insurance marketplace for this coverage turns up prices of between $1,000-$3,500.
