TSPS Membership Views on GIS

In early October TSPS GIS committee conducted a informational poll of it's members on their views about GIS. In general members believe that the use of GIS is important to their organization.

Wier Elected Principal of Wier & Associates

Wier & Associates, Inc.'s Board of Directors elected Gregg Madsen, R.P.L.S., a Principal of the firm. He joins current Principals John P. Wier, Ulys Lane III, Ron Ramirez, and Carlo Silvestri.
Our first Grassroots Campaign Initiative Meet and Greet event was a huge success! On Thursday, Jan. 5, TSPS Chapters 4, 6 and 8 hosted this event at the Hotel Fredonia in Nacogdoches, with special guests Sen. Robert Nichols, Rep. Wayne Christian and Rep. Chuck Hopson.
Attention, TSPS Leadership!

2012 TSPS Symposium Registration Now Open!

TSPS members (and non-members!) proved how popular the Annual Symposium is when last year they flocked to Symposium in San Marcos during a rare ice event that blasted much of Texas. This year, prospects for ice are slim as 2012 TSPS Symposium arrives in late February to the shores of Clear Lake in League City at the beautiful South Shore Harbour Resort, Conference Center & Spa.

IN MEMORIAM - James Noble Johnson

Attorney James Noble Johnson - a TSPS member, frequent CEU seminar instructor and past TBPLS board member - died Saturday, Nov. 26, 2011 in Austin, Texas.

TSPS has changed its Dec. 3 Austin seminar from “Advanced Survey Technologies” to a different 8-hour program, “The Art of Topographic Surveys”, facilitated by George Forbis-Stokes.
