The Texas Society of Professional Surveyors is dedicated to offering educational opportunities and support for surveying professionals in Texas. TSPS has adopted the NSPS Certified Survey Technician (CST) Program as part of the TSPS Professional Development Program. The NSPS CST Program is nationally recognized and enables survey technicians and employers to evaluate and establish various levels of competency through proper testing of appropriate work elements. The CST Program is composed of four levels and two tracks. You can learn more about the details of each level in the CST Program Book. TSPS has incorporated this program by working with TSPS chapters to establish testing sites around the state. To learn more about when and where tests will be offered check out the TSPS Testing Sites & Dates. Registering for certification testing is easy!

1. Review the CST Program Book and determine which certification level you are ready
to test for.
2. Choose one of  the TSPS Testing Sites & Dates.
3. Download and complete the certification application.  
4. Mail the application with the correct fee to:

5. Start studying (Sample Exam Questions).
6. Level I, II, III, IV Position Description and Work Elements .
7. If you are not a TSPS member join now.

If your chapter is interested becoming a proctor for the certification exams, complete the NSPS Proctor Form. Send it to NSPS and a copy to Brenda at TSPS.  Your exam will be added to the Education Calendar and Exam Site List.
