About
TSPS
The
Texas Society of Professional Surveyors, with a membership of more than
2,300 registered surveyors, surveyors-in-training, students and associates,
seeks to educate and inform the public of the integral role of surveyors in our
society.
TSPS members enjoy a powerful competitive edge and gain access to big-money
benefits. Self-improvement is available through basic and advanced training
courses offered at convenient regional seminars, the annual Spring Symposium
and the TSPS Convention & Technology Exposition. TSPS certification provides
a standard for judging prospective employees, and legislative action and liaison
efforts with the Texas Board of Professional Land Surveying and the Texas
General Land Office protects and strengthens the profession. Group insurance
rates are offered through Silicon Benefits and Anco Insurance for life, health,
hospitalization, dental, professional liability insurance and worker's compensation coverage.
TSPS members receive two bi-monthly publications:
The Texas Surveyor, a magazine written by surveyors for
surveyors covering trends and issues that affect the profession and
Metes & Bounds, an electronic
newsletter filled with practical news on topics like business management, public
relations, chapter news and TSPS events. In addition, the TSPS Membership
Directory is published annually in June and lists member information both
alphabetically and by county.
