AWARDS
The Awards Committee has
sent emails to chapter presidents and representatives for award
nominations. We have had few responses.
The committee will
present the nominations for the Hugh L. George Award at the June board
meeting.

MEMBERSHIP
The membership committee
is pleased to report of the University of Houston Student Chapter had
their first meeting on May 1, 2006. It was a light turnout, but everyone
was eager to become involved. They have several tenacious individuals
leading the Chapter, and I’m sure we will see great things from this
Student Chapter. Congratulations!
The following are goals
for the Membership Committee in 2006:

PRODUCT SALES
The Committee has had no
meetings since the last board meeting. I am on the Educational Development
team to be held May 19th and 20th and I plan to take sales
items with me. This will be mostly books. A joint meeting between the
Capital Chapter and the Alamo Chapter has been set for June and I plan on
taking sales items to that meeting also. As always we will be bringing
products to the Annual Ray Wisdom Bar-B-Q and Auction. The next couple of
months should boost sales a little for the year.
