CHAPTER ACTIVITIES

Some of the chapters are off to a good start this year.  Chapter Activities topics scheduled for discussion this year include:

Surveyors Week - Chapters are beginning to work with their local libraries for surveying displays.  They are also working with their local schools to present surveying presentations and Surveyor of the Day Programs.

Education - Chapter Activities will work with the Education Committee to help with the creation of new topics and seminars.

Membership - We are promoting new and creative ways to bring in new members.  We will work with the chapters having them target employees of surveying firms for possible membership.  We are also promoting a goal of 100% membership of all non TSPS Registered Professional Land Surveyors.  Chapter members will be encouraged to find a non - TSPS Surveyor in their area to take to lunch or coffee and discuss the benefits of becoming a TSPS Member.

Trig-Star – We will be encouraging all chapters to get involved with Trig-Star.

Other topics that may be of interest to the chapters are always welcome.

Respectfully Submitted,

Curtis Strong
