COMMITTEE ACTIVITY REPORT
For
this quarterly board meeting I will report on the
The Tyler
Junior College Surveying and Mapping Program has a healthy enrollment at this
time. The program seems to have
picked up a little steam since the 4 year requirement has taken full effect.
Most of the of the students are enrolling out of high school but an
increasing number of students are entering the program already with a bachelors
degree in some other field and are looking to get the required 32 hours of
surveying related courses. The fall
semester enrollment included 32 freshmen and 25 sophomores for a total
enrollment of 57 surveying students.
