CHAPTER ACTIVITY REPORT
TEXAS
SOCIETY
OF PROFESSIONAL SURVEYORS, NORTHEAST CHAPTER 23 REPORT
The
chapter met
November
9, 2004
for a
dinner and business meeting. The Chapter voted to dispose of the antique
surveying equipment owned by the Chapter which had been used and displayed for
several years at the Jefferson Historical Seminar. The
equipment will go to TSPS, TSFI, and SEFT. The estimated value of the
equipment if $9,300.
At
our
January
11, 2005
meeting, our program was Joey Stanger, chairman of SEFT, board member of TSFI
and a board member of TSPS. It was a very interesting and informative speech
regarding SEFT, TSFI and TSPS. Mr. Stanger presented Chapter 23 with a
life membership in SEFT. There were thirteen members and five wives
present.
Our chapter will be sponsoring a Seminar on
June 11,
2005
in
Mt.
Pleasant
.
Ben Thomson, Chief Surveyor with the General Land Office in
Austin
, will
conduct the Seminar.
