CHAPTER TWO

2004 Report

July

Chapter Two held it’s regular monthly business meeting on Monday, July 19^th.  There were nineteen members and one guest in attendance.  The chapter was presented a check for $500 from Western Data Systems for its participation in the “Using the Internet and Cellular Modems for Real Time Kinematic Surveys”.  This seminar was sponsored by Chapter Two and Western Data Systems.  The chapter also heard a brief report and discussion from Garey Gilley, R.P.L.S. on surveyor’s responsibility and liability regarding illegal subdivisions.

August

The chapter held it’s regular monthly meeting at Los Vaquerso Restaurant on August 16^th, 2004.  Approximately twenty members and guests were in attendance.  In addition to chapter business, members heard a brief report from Bill Coleman, R.P.L.S. on the recently concluded GIS Summit in San Diego.  Bill led a discussion on the future of GIS and Surveyor’s role in it.
