CHAPTER ACTIVITY REPORT
Deep East Texas Chapter No. 6
The Chapter began the second quarter of 2004 with the following events:
May 28, 2004
Chapter members participated in the joint TSPE/TSPS Golf Tournament at the Palms at Pleasure Golf Course in Port Arthur. The 4 man scramble format began at 1:00 PM.
June 8, 2004
The Chapter held its Second Quarterly member's meeting at Tuffy's Eatery in Mauriceville. Guest speaker Mr. Cliff Middleton of the National Geodetic Survey gave members a presentation on the information and resources available to surveyors from NGS. Mr. Middleton is the NGS State Advisor for Texas.
Upcoming Events
The Chapter will host its Annual Regional Surveyors Seminar on August 21st at the Holiday Inn Hotel – Midtown in Beaumont. Ken Gold will present “Boundary Law Essentials”. Proceeds from this seminar go directly to scholarships for surveying students studying at TAMU-CC and Lamar University.
The Annual Sporting Clays event will be held in October at the 100 in 1 Gun Club in Lumberton, Texas. This is an extremely popular and fun event.
