AWARDS The committee received a total of eighteen (18) nominations for awards this year. I believe this is probably twice or maybe more than twice the number of nominations usually received. We have received at least two (2) and as many as six (6) nominations for each award. These nominations came from 5 different Chapters, so there are plenty of names lacking from the other 19 Chapters around the state.
We will be asking, at this meeting, the Board of Directors for their vote, of the nominations submitted, to determine the recipient of the Hugh L. George award for this year.

MEMBERSHIP At the last TSPS Board meeting, the motions were made to create a new category for GIS (Geospatial membership) and a change in the TSPS bylaws regarding associate and SIT membership rights.
New members are encouraged at all levels and with the synergism between the GIS and Membership committees, we are striving to accomplish more members at all levels to help our society grow, prosper, and embrace more diversification.
Kudos to Brianne Bernsen and the GIS committee for the great teamwork and efforts to assist TSPS to embrace more diversity in regards to the GIS community.
There is still desire to coordinate with the GIS committee and others to address the GIS community and do our best to help

PRODUCT SALES The Committee has had one meeting since the last board meeting. Doug had a booth set up at the annual Ray Wisdom Auction and BBQ. $725.00 in TSPS items were sold at that event. I am currently working to put together a “Land Surveyors” calendar. I will bring a sample to the August 9-11 board meeting and would like to discuss it in detail at that time. I will also be bringing TSPS items to the board meeting. Thank you.
