Registration is now OPEN for the 2010 TSPS Convention & Technology Exposition Oct. 13-16 in Houston. As the land surveying profession in Texas marches into a new decade, TSPS is leading the way.This year’s event is hosted by TSPS Gulf Coast Chapter 9, and they, along with the TSPS Convention Committee, have put together a show like no other!
Flower Mound's Tyler Fugere Wins 2nd Place National Trig-Star Honor
The National Society of Professional Surveyors (NSPS) announced the recipients of the 2010 Richard E. Lomax National Trig-Star Awards.This year there were thirty-four state winners submitted, and Tyler Fugere, of Flower Mound High School in Flower Mound, Texas, was the Second Place Award Winner in the National Trig-Star Competition.

A New Life For CRS … An Old Partnership With TSPS
Richard Ortiz is reviving one business, but maintaining existing partnerships with TSPS. Ortiz, the TSPS North Area Chapter Representive, participated in the TSPS Affiliate program while part of Lone Star Records. Now with Courthouse Research Specialists, he's continued that relationship, donating 1% of TSPS-linked sales to the state society.

A NOTE IN A BOTTLE

It is an early evening in September. The day is cooling at a slow pace from a balmy 92°. One of the benefits of this part of West Texas is humidity, the Pecos River being only miles away. This year the month of September is quite dry. Only scattered cloud bursts have been reported and it seems our survey party’s path is missing them. One has to wonder if it’s a good thing or bad.
